Chemical Free Sunscreen Recommended by Dr. Oz- Skin Perfection Natural and Organic Skin Care

With Melanoma diagnosis on the rise, using a chemical-free sunscreen, as recommended by Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen, can significantly reduce the risk of skin cancer and premature aging.

Titanium Dioxide and Zinc are physical sunscreens that protect your skin from UVA/UVB rays.

Dr. Mehmet Oz (commonly known just as Dr. Oz) is a cardiothoracic surgeon and TV personality. His television show is an informative program regarding all things medical. He has a team of researchers, physicians, and other medical professionals on hand to contribute to the show and evaluate/approve products that are featured.

The daytime TV show has become nationally acclaimed and has become a source of medical information to its many viewers.

Dr. Oz first appeared on Oprah in 2004. For five seasons, he appeared on her show as a health expert. In 2009, he began his television program called The Dr. Oz Show, which is still being produced today. While many people criticize and doubt some of Dr. Oz's practices, he has become one of the most influential doctors of our time.

Who endorses the medical advice he gives on his show, Dr. Oz does believe in some alternative medicine, which is often the source of this controversy.

In many cases, scam companies have used his words to make it appear like he endorses their product. However, he has never actually been involved with any of the scams. He created an organization called Oz Watch, which is a place where consumers can report scams.

The purpose of this group is to shut them down to keep Dr. Oz’s name off products he does not endorse.

While some criticize Oz, he has also been nationally recognized for his medical work and researches numerous times. He is a highly trusted source of medical information for the viewers of his show.

He often recommended ingredients that he believes people should be looking for in their skincare. Here on our blog, we discuss what Dr. Oz has to say about specific ingredients and remedies.

It is a widely known fact that UVA and UVB rays from the sun can cause serious issues. Including skin cancer, if you are not careful. Most people know the experience of a sunburn: the redness, the peeling, and the pain. These burns are damaging your skin.

The worse the sunburn, the worse the damage. The harmful effects of the sun can be prevented, though—with sunscreen. Sunscreen can be loaded with chemicals. But you can also find natural lotions and sprays.

The spray bottle is an easy way to apply skincare products, but many people don’t feel the need to use it.

You will be far more likely to see issues down the road if you don’t use sunscreen than if you do.

Many chemicals used in sunscreens are hormone disruptors. When applying sunscreen, use an ample supply of SPF 30 or higher and reapply after 2 hours. (Sooner if you are swimming or sweating)

For a mineral sunscreen that is not chalky or pasty looking, choose a micronized version. To further protect your skin and keep premature aging and wrinkles at bay:

  • Use a broad-spectrum SPF 50 or higher
  • consider wearing clothes with SPF
  • wear a wide-brimmed hat
  • stay out of direct sunlight
  • never, ever use a tanning bed

Tip: To add sunscreen to your clothing, wash them with Tinosorb. To read more about sunscreen chemicals and how they disrupt hormones, check out this article from The Dr. Oz Show.

At Skin Perfection, our natural skincare line offers chemical-free sunscreen without hormone disruptors! Titanium Dioxide and Zinc are mineral-based and protect your skin. We offer mineral sunscreen in SPF 30.
